Fool Social Link (The Investigation Team)
Why it happens : It all started with 2 murder cases that are somehow linked to the TV world. As the team progresses, more and more are kidnapped and joined.
How to level it : Automatic as your game progresses.
Need a matching Persona : No.
Magician Social Link (Yosuke Hanamura)
Why it happens : After Saki-senpai's death, Yosuke thinks that having a Persona is a great thing to avenge her death. But as you progress on, Yosuke still cannot accept the reality of Saki's death and have to deal with the increasing pressure as Junes' boy. In the end, he finally realizes and accepts his true self.
How to level it : He's found near the Library on school days. During holidays, he is at Junes.
Available days : Even days and Sunday (situational). Not raining days.
Need a matching Persona : Yes but not vital.
Comments : Easy to level up, even without a matching Persona. He'll often be targets of teachers during your lessons so make sure to get it right and you won't waste time trying to get his points up.
Priestess Social Link (Yukiko Amagi)
Why it happens : After facing her other self, Yukiko thinks that she shouldn't inherit the historical inn and work outside. As you progress on, she will still insist on leaving Inaba. However, after a bad encounter with the "weirdo" media, she decided not to abandon the inn. Thus, she realizes that if she leave Inaba, she'll regret it later on.
How to level it : She is near the noticeboard (1st floor of main building) on school days. During holidays, she is found near the bookstore.
Available : Non rainy Monday to Wednesday. Sundays as well (situational)
Need a matching Persona : Yes but not vital.
Comments : Also quite easy to level, just that as you move on, its getting abit tough to level that S.Link.
Empress Social Link (Margaret)
Why it happens : She just wanna have a chat with the MC. I'm not too sure why but I have a feeling that she wants to know more about about the MC.
How to level it : Your Knowledge must be at rank 3. Complete her requests through Persona fusions.
Available days : All day! As long as you complete her request its done.
Need a matching Persona : No.
Comments : Be prepared to waste some money!
Emperor Social Link (Kanji Tatsumi)
Why it happens : Kanji admits that he is pretty scared of the people because of his hobbies. As you progress on, he starts to be open to the people through his love of making cute plush toys. In the end, he admits his weakness and is no longer afraid to mingle around.
How to level it : After 9/6, talk to a female student near 2F staircase. Then talk to Kanji on 1F Practice Building and start the link. He's found in 1F Practice Building on school days. During holidays, he's outside his shop north of the Shopping District.
Available days : Monday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
Need a matching Persona : Yes but not vital.
Comments : If you can get your decisions right, you can potentially minimize the time needed to raise his Social Link rank.
Hierophant Social Link (Ryotaro Dojima)
Why it happens : After failing to get some days off during the Golden Week, he is still pre-occupied with one work - Finding the culprit that rams and kills his wife several years ago. He believes that this will justify for Nanako, but at the same time he is often ignoring her. As you move on, he slowly realized that chasing that alone will make family matters worse, and begins to be with Nanako more often than before.
How to level it : At night, you can sometimes find Dojima reading newspaper. If only Nanako is at home, you can't do this.
Available days : Situational. Weather not a factor.
Need a matching Persona : VERY important!
Comments : You might want to sacrifice a few nights just to raise his S.Link points.
Lovers Social Link (Rise Kujikawa)
Why it happens : After facing her other self, Rise decided to quit the showbiz, thats what she intended to do to live a normal life. As you progress on, Rise's junior joined the showbiz and she started to regret leaving. In the end, she decided to join back the showbiz cause even if she will be called "Risette", "Risette" will always be Rise.
How to level it : You can find her along the 1F corridor (main building) during school days. During holidays, she's outside the tofu shop in the Shopping District.
Available days : Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Need a matching Persona : Yes.
Comments : Through the end-stage, its highly recommended to be couples, so that its easier to level. If you don't want though, it can cause a few problems but otherwise nothing significant.
Chariot Social Link (Chie Satonaka)
Why it happens : After facing her other self, Chie starts to train up to fight against Shadows. While she is pretty much protective with her friends (Yukiko especially), she often jumps into conclusions. As you progress on, she slowly come to know that if she wants to protect someone, she must know her steps carefully.
How to level it : She's found on the roof of the school on schooldays. During holidays, you'll find her near Daidara store.
Available days : Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Sundays are situational.
Need a matching Persona : Yes, but not vital.
Comments : Like Yukiko, through the end-stage its going to be a bit tough to level up.
Justice Social Link (Nanako Dojima)
Why it happens : Nanako is often alone and wonders whether her father actually loves her. At the same time, she also misses her mother (She died in a hit-and-run incident several years ago) and her father is often too busy to be with her. As you progress on, Dojima will slowly open up to her and Nanako soon realized that Dojima too is alone. She will then be determined to be with him, even when her mother is gone.
How to level it : At night, you can find her sitting on a different location at home. If Nanako is here, then Dojima is not free.
Available days : Situational.
Need a matching Person : Vital.
Comments : You need to level your Expression like mad if you want to max her out.
Hermit Social Link (Fox)
Why it happens : I don't know why but I believe that the fox is pretty desperate to revive the shrine and only you can do it. Through time, the shrine will slowly become more popular.
How to level it : You can do it through quests. The fox will give you an ema, you do the stuff, then report it back, and thats all. Simple? As you progress on though, the quests are becoming slightly tricky.
Available days : Anytime, including rainy days.
Need a matching Persona : No.
Comments : This is one of the several S.Links that are available on rainy days, so make good use of that!
Fortune Social Link (Naoto Shirogane)
Why it happens : After facing her other self, Naoto still wishes to become a "man" (She is actually a girl, you've been warned!). As you progress on in a private investigation, Naoto slowly learns about her past and how she enjoyed it and later, thrashed it. After the final challenge, she accepts the reality that she is not ready for adulthood and accepts the reality her Shadow is trying to say back then.
How to level it : Your Courage and Knowledge must be MAXed out. Speak to a person in black suit outside Aiya's. Then show the letter to Naoto. This will start the link. From there, you can find her near the school office on school days. During holidays, she is near the benches at Samegawa riverbank.
Available days : Anytime except Sundays. Rainy days are VERY situational.
Need a matching Persona : Yes.
Comments : Make sure you are VERY GOOD in riddles, or it is very tough to level that S.Link. Also, you will start that one quite late in game so make sure to do this as soon as possible. One more warning : This is 1 of the 2 Social Links that can be reversed.
